General Information/Registration Policies
Be Prepared for Weather Changes—Dress in Layers
Since the temperatures may get high outside and sessions will be air conditioned inside, dressing in layers is strongly advised.
- AAV Lab assistantship positions are now open to both students and technicians. Those selected will be paid $100 after the conference.
- Spaces are limited and will be assigned on a first-registered, first-assigned basis.
- When applying for AAV lab assistantships, please register within the assistantship deadlines, and follow registration procedures, including payment, to assist. Complete details are available on the conference website: www.conferenceoffice.com/aav.
An approved publication’s representative may receive a press pass for one day of the conference. This entitles the representative to attend sessions for one day only without charge, excluding Practical Labs. Contact the Conference Office for prior approval (303-756-8380). Press passes do not include meal tickets.
Continuing Education
Continuing Education credits are recognized for all sessions except the evening programs. Calculated on an hour-for-hour basis, the breakdown is up to 7 hours for the Saturday AEMV Lab and Lecture; 7.5 for the Sunday Program; up to 21 hours for the Main Conference; 2-8 hours for AAV Practical Labs; 5.5 for the ARAV Friday Program; and 8 hours for ARAV labs. By registering for the maximum number of courses, you can earn up to 57 hours of credit (this total may change prior to the conference if cancellations are made). A continuing education form will be provided in your packet.
Services for People with Disabilities
AAV, AEMV Proceedings
All conference registrants will receive a copy of the Proceedings in book format. All members will also receive access to the Proceedings online after the conference. Additional books will be available for purchase at the Member Services desk at the conference. Members not attending may purchase the Proceedings book through the Publications Office after the conference.
Proceedings for the AEMV Saturday Program (lecture and lab) will be distributed to those in attendance.
ARAV Proceedings
All conference registrants will receive a copy of the printed Proceedings and a CD copy. Members not attending the conference will receive a copy of the Proceedings on CD. Additional printed copies of the Proceedings will be available for purchase at the conference. Members not attending may preorder a copy of the printed Proceedings by contacting the ARAV office (ARAVETS@aol.com) prior to July 1.
Child Care
The Hyatt Hotel’s concierge may be able to assist you with arranging child care services. Please call the hotel directly: 414-276-1234. The Conference Office is not responsible for arranging for child care. Please be sure you have arrangements before you arrive.
