Students and Technicians—earn CASH at AAV
- AAV practical lab assistantship positions are now open to both students and technicians. Those selected will be paid $100 following the conference.
- Spaces are limited and will be assigned on a first-registered, first-assigned basis.
- When you apply for AAV practical lab assistantships, please register within the assistantship deadlines, and follow registration procedures, including payment, to assist. Complete details are available on the conference website: www.conferenceoffice.com/aav/2012/assistapp12.html.
An approved publication’s representative may receive a press pass for one day of the conference. This entitles the representative to attend sessions for one day only without charge, excluding practical lab. Contact the Conference Office for prior approval (303-756-8380). Press passes do not include meal tickets.
Continuing-Education credits are recognized for all sessions except the evening programs. Calculated on an hour-for-hour basis, the breakdown is up to 7 hours for the Saturday Program; up to 18 hours for the Main Conference; up to 8 hours for Tuesday (AAV practical labs or special sessions.) By registering for the maximum number of courses, you can earn up to 33 hours of credit—this total may change prior to the conference if cancellations are made. Attention Diplomats: Each hour of ABVP-sponsored, continuing-education points earned will count for more points toward your re-certification. AAV Avian master classes are ABVP-sponsored. A continuing-education form will be provided in your packet.
Services for People with Disabilities
If under the Americans with Disabilities Act you require specific aids or services during the conference, please check the appropriate box on the registration form or contact the Conference Office. Please allow adequate time for arrangements to be made.
All conference registrants will receive a copy of the Proceedings in flash drive format. All members will also receive access to the Proceedings online before (print what you’d like to bring!) and after the conference. Additional flash drives will be available for purchase at the Member Services desk at the conference. Members not attending may purchase the Proceedings flash drive through the Publications Office after the conference.
